Hey everyone!

My name is Naomi Ediru, and I am grateful to have connected with the LMF Network. That is why I want to share my thoughts and experiences here!

A bit of myself. I am originally Nigerian, but I was born and raised in South London.

I love creative media and have a passion for becoming and inspiring healthy living globally. I believe overall wellness includes the care of both physical and mental well being.

In an early period of my life, I struggled with my own insecurities, identity, relationships. So, I took some time to be proactive in overcoming my clinical depression and anxiety.

In recent years, my journey to improve my overall well-being has become so much easier thanks to the great communities I joined.

However, I felt deeply connected with Like Minded Females and not just because of the awesome name. I resonated with the founder’s ambition to build a genuine, supportive community that not only catered to womxn of ‘minorities’ but also aimed to connect, help, and sincerely build relationships. This is what I have been yearning for!

It has been about two years that I connected with the network, and I felt that volunteering was the next natural step to take since I am such a huge supporter.

One thing I love is how flexible my role is, as it compliments my personality and strengths. I honestly enjoy talking to anyone and being in front of the camera, so hosting the weekly catch-ups on Zoom was perfect for me.

My role at LMF also allows me to build social media management skills by being responsible for sharing and advertising workshops online.

I cannot go anywhere without feeling compelled to tell anyone I think would benefit from the LMF community to check their social media channels and connect!

All the workshops I have attended so far have been a game-changer to my career, and I am so excited for the upcoming projects!

Finally, I have participated and completed both cohorts of the mentorship programme as a mentee, and the progress I have made is evident. Personally, my self-confidence has increased, and professionally, I have had the opportunity to network with various people.

I am glad to have connected with such like-minded females!
